UI/UX Design

CarpoolNU

Overview

In this design project, I was tasked to create a new interface that highlights accountability for users, part of an interview design challenge for Sandbox, a club at Northeastern University. I created a model that implements a user profile page, as well as color coordination features indicating an inactive or active user. I also ideated on a reviews page, which in theory provides past riders to rate their carpool driver and vice-versa.

Approach

While going through my thought process, I noticed that there was not enough security or verification of active users on this site. I also researched on other websites that have carpooling abilities (Uber, Lyft), and reviews apps (Beli, Yelp, Amazon). Hence, I added verified and active/inactive notices through use of color, profile user view so others can see your driving preferences, allowing for more security (puts a face to a driver). I also added reviews page for honest reviews without rating, and more word-focused elements to account for user traits and personality.
